I'm driving down the road on my way to work at the crack of dawn morning cigarette smoke is curling and twirling with the window down people in their cars pass me by there's that homeless lady with her shopping cart crossing the street taking her sweet time while our red light turns green O is she wise or just insane? Time is money so they say it is what it is so just do what you have to do 'cause we got bills to pay but the meaning is lost in the restless doldrum days well, it's just another day in the pavement maze think I'll go to the desert and eat some mushrooms maybe I'll see exactly what I need to see to accept this fate O why is it normal to be busy all day like we're kind of afraid to be still in the current of rushing souls the Industry's got it all under control the roads are all paved on the way to the grocery store so easy and comfortable when will I wake from consumer-zombie haze? Or am I just doomed to keep wandering through the pavement maze? Am I just trapped in the pavement maze?

Same old planet I walk upon and I'm still spinnin' along with you Groundhog day and whack'a'mole same old story told by different souls Sometimes I can't roll my eyes far enough back into my skull If it's not the bomb it'll surely be the sun Laugh or die crying to the sky but don't let it go to waste just stop for the moment to embrace this world that'll be gone without a trace don't get lost running through the maze before you can say goodbye the universe will blink its eye and a billion years pass us by Same damn planet I wake upon and I'm still spinnin' along like you Day to night and back to day baffled by the serious games we play black-lung boredom wandering through with no one to love and too much shit to do if I could be free from the shackles of money and time Laugh or die crying to the sky but don't let it go to waste just stop for the moment to embrace this world that'll be gone without a trace don't get lost running through the maze before you can say goodbye the universe will blink its eye and a billion years pass us by

Empty Bottle 05:18
Across the yellow party lights I catch the shining in your eyes feels alright to talk all night you put your digits in my phone maybe now I won't feel so alone I walk with you, you walk with me down the highway by the sea take it easy shoot the breeze I know we just met yesterday but I hope that you never go away I kiss your lips it tastes to sweet as the summer evening fleets doesn't it seem like a dream? we pull away and say goodnight then walk away like strangers in the night then walk away like strangers in the night Where'd you go? Why won't you pick up the phone? How could you just lead me on and leave me hanging here like an empty bottle on the side on the side of the road I thought that you were something more the love that I've been waiting for but I've been very wrong before I put my heart done on the table proved to be a fable in my mind I put my heart down on the table proved to be a fable in my mind proved to be a fable in my mind proved to be a fable in my mind now you're just a ghost on my mind

The tightrope the man is walking it's far to fall and the crowd is watching below there's only so many ways this situation could go One foot in front of another slowly crossing to the other side some cheer him on but others want him to fall but he's reached the end the man is stepping off on the skyscraper rooftop hands raised in celebration his friends come with a bottle of champagne after popping the cork it shoots at the champions eye and stumbling back he tumbles over the edge and falling to his death the city hustles on the city hustles on

Arbor Spins 04:10
Rolling stones grow no moss and never think to stop never wonder what to do not like me and you when I find myself confused all I can do is keep on moving on and on Reality ain't ideal sometimes I feel like a fly floating in my half-full glass of beer fear the end is near but as you know tomorrow never seems to come If you're waiting for perfection know you're waiting a long long time If you peak behind the curtain will you finally be satisfied Is it not enough to let the present be a surprise? but I've been told those who seek will find and who by worrying will save their life

Still waiting for heaven to shine another day goes another day goes by Still waiting for heaven to shine another day goes another day goes by Running through the days and taking trodden ways thinking that you're safe but all you do is wait time was crawling slower than the traffic line but now it's flying by are you prepared to die? The Human Soul's withdrawing on the concrete cold inside reaching out for love but can't quite get a hold get a hold Master the uncertainty inside your soul whatever has to happen is not in control come out like a creature from the lonesome dark step into the light and find that it's alright The Human Soul's withdrawing on the concrete cold inside reaching out for love but can't quite get a hold get a hold Still waiting for heaven to shine another day goes another day goes by Still waiting for heaven to shine another day goes another day goes by Still waiting for heaven to shine another day goes another day goes by Still waiting for heaven to shine another day goes another day goes by
